Office Closure - March 16
Dear Valued Patients of King East Dental,
We are living through a very unique situation with the outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19. This is a situation that is impacting the entire world. We want to let you know how we at King East Dental are dealing with the ever-changing situation and the implications it has for all of us.
First and foremost, we are a healthcare facility and our primary concern always will be the well-being of our patients. We are appreciative of the trust you have placed in us, allowing us to care for your dental and oral health. That is something we do not take lightly and is of paramount importance.
The Royal College of Dentists of Ontario has determined that all dental offices in the province of Ontario stop seeing patients except for emergency services only. This decision is effective immediately and came after careful evaluation of the current situation. It is in effect to help control the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
All dental appointments that are scheduled between March 16, 2020 and April 5, 2020 will be postponed unless they are of an emergency nature. This may be extended past April 5 if it is deemed necessary. At this time, we will keep all scheduled appointments past the April 5th date.
What does this mean for you?
If you have an appointment scheduled between March 16 and April 5, 2020, our administrative team will contact you to re-schedule an appointment in the future. In some instances, we may not be able to do this immediately as the “emergency only” status may possibly extend beyond April 5.
If you do have an emergency, please contact our office between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Please note that we will not be able to offer extended hours services (evenings or Saturdays) during this crisis time.
What if I do not have an appointment scheduled in the near future?
If you have a scheduled appointment but it is not in the near future, please be assured that that appointment will be honoured provided the “emergency only” crisis protocol is no longer in effect. Should your future appointment be affected, we will contact you to make alternate arrangements.
Please note that this protocol is in effect for all dental offices in Ontario. We appreciate your understanding of the situation, and ask that you all remain safe during this time. Please remember to practice good hygiene habits, and to minimize your contact in high risk situations.
